Eternity Rising Sci-Fi Kickstarter

Posted by SamoStudios - December 8th, 2013

Hi everyone I just wanted to share my big sci-fi/fantasy soundtrack and 3D animation concept:

Been trying to get something like this going for a long time, but just never have the opportunity.

If you liked any of my music or animation and wanted to see more, and help support my effort to do more of this kind of stuff in the future, please check it out! :)

It's hard to get the word out about something like this, if anyone could help share it around, that would be awesome!

Thanks for having a look! :)

Thanks XD

Cool, you do high quality 3d animation and music. Good deal!

*head explodes* ow...
so many questions...
Is it a movie?
A show?
Random thing with absurd amounts of AWESOME?

Haha, yeah I apparently haven't done a good job conveying what it is lol. I've tried to edit it a couple times even, but some people are still confused... le sigh

Think of it as a sci-fi film-score, where the film happens to just not quite exist. A standard symphonic movie music soundtrack basically, like the score to LOTR or A Beautiful Mind. It's based on a storyline, that plays out like a movie or a show.

But there will ALSO be a visual element in the form of comic-style animated panels for each track of the album, portraying the story along with the music. Cut-scenes basically, for each track.

Then for the last track, there will be a full 5-6 minute video that is completely animated, like the CG in the Metroid videos I did. That will kind of close the gap between being an album augmented with video, and an actual short film.

If I had a huge budget, I would make the whole thing into an actual hour-long animated movie, but this is the next best thing I can do by myself in the meantime. Well, rather that I "could have" done, doesn't look like it's going to happen since only 28 people are interested =/

But I think it would have been pretty cool, basically like a modern-day version of "The Abyss" sort of

Oi! Don't just give up then, I think that is an awesome idea since you make really good music and great animations! This is a way to breathe new life into your music so just because you don't have the support or the money doesn't mean you should't try to make at least something.
